Dionne Archibald had many assignments and ships during her Navy career, including the USS Wasp. It was transporting Marines during the Iraq and Afghanistan campaigns. As the information security manager, it was part of her job to deny internet access to those who strayed online. (3:50)

Being stationed in Germany was a great assignment for Dionne Archibald because she always had a love of travel and that gave her a chance to see Europe. After she returned to the States, she was promoted to master chief and returned to recruiting as an equal opportunity specialist. (4:56)

After thirty years of service, Dionne Archibald left the Navy, but her passion to help people continued. Her non-profit organization Active Veterans With Answers acts as a bridge between veterans and the VA, to make sure they have access to all their benefits. (3:52)

Don Bowman

In high school, Don Bowman saw a catalog from West Point sitting on another boy's desk. Can I look at that? Sure but you won't get in, came the reply. As it turned out, Don did but the other guy didn't. (5:17)

After a stint in Germany, Don Bowman returned to Fort Benning where he ran the Pathfinder committee. He wound up back at West Point as the very first Protocol Officer, in charge of the constant flow of visitors. (6:41)

Once Don Bowman realized the concepts of assault fire and final defensive fire were very similar, he developed a technique to train his men to master the necessary rapid reloading. He was also a big proponent of leading by example. (3:55)

Air Mobile was the new thing and Don Bowman was excited to be a part of it when he arrived in Vietnam to join the 1st Cavalry Division. After getting to know his fellow staff officers, he became concerned about the slowness of the Medevac process and set about doing something about it. (7:02)
